Victoria Fedorov
Victoria Fedorov is a pioneering figure in the field of infant aquatic education, massage therapy, and also known as the “baby whisperer”. With over 35 years of experience, she is the founder of Aquababy, a renowned program dedicated to supporting newborns and infants in their physical and emotional development through water therapy and dynamic exercises.
Victoria’s journey began with her education at the University of Arts in Kiev, Ukraine, where she studied and became a professor, specializing in ballet choreography. Her deep love for movement led her to develop a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, which she later expanded into dynamic gymnastics for newborns. Through her passion for movement and therapeutic touch, she earned specialized knowledge in water therapy for newborns, honing her skills in helping young children build strength, coordination, and resilience through safe, guided water exercises.
In addition to her academic and teaching roles, Victoria became a certified massage therapist and has spent years integrating her expertise and adding it into her classes. This work has greatly informed her approach to infant care, blending the therapeutic benefits of massage with her extensive knowledge of developmental movement.
In 1995, Victoria moved to Canada, where she began building her company from the ground up. Her dedication to infant development and aquatic therapy led her to create Aquababy, a program that combines the therapeutic benefits of water with a focus on emotional well-being, physical coordination, and sensory exploration for babies as young as two weeks old.
For more than three decades, Victoria has been a tireless advocate for the positive impact of early water therapy, and her program has helped thousands of families in Montreal and beyond. Her commitment to holistic, nurturing care has made Aquababy a trusted name in infant development, offering innovative, effective techniques that promote early childhood growth and help babies reach their full potential.
Victoria’s work continues to inspire and empower parents, caregivers, and children, helping them experience the transformative benefits of movement, water therapy, and emotional connection from their earliest days.
Anat Fedorova
With over 20 years in the world of swimming, I bring a lifetime of aquatic experience and specialized training to my role as a swim instructor. My passion for the water began from birth, as I was raised in an environment where swimming was more than a skill—it was a way of life. I started swimming as a newborn, began competitive swimming at the age of four, and eventually shifted to water polo, where I competed at an elite level. I was honored to play for an elite club, join the Quebec Water Polo Team, and even made it to the national selection for the Canadian Water Polo Team.
I studied to be a physical education teacher at the University of Montreal, where I also earned a minor in Early Childhood Studies. This background, combined with my experience in competitive swimming and water polo, has given me a unique perspective on teaching swimming. My love for teaching started early; at just 13, I officially began teaching for Aquababy, a swim program founded by my mother, Victoria Fedorov. Learning the craft from her and gradually taking on new responsibilities, I worked at various other swim schools, teaching groups of all ages and eventually specializing in private lessons. These experiences taught me the importance of patience and adaptability in tailoring lessons to each child’s needs.
Today, I run the only swim school in Montreal that offers water therapy for infants as young as two weeks old. My program draws on principles of biomechanics, anatomy, massage therapy, reflexology, and kinesiology, creating a supportive, safe environment for children. I guide parents and guardians in coaching their infants through water exercises, helping them nurture skills that promote emotional well-being, deeper sleep, and better feeding patterns. Each session is designed to help families experience the joy, freedom, and developmental benefits of early swimming. I’m thrilled to share my lifelong love of the water with you and your child, helping them build strength, resilience, and confidence from their earliest days.
